Cerebral Palsy

Third Hand Care’s tailored approach to delivering complex care in the home means that we are ideally placed to provide bespoke support for people with cerebral palsy, a condition that can result in widely varying symptoms and needs.

Third Hand Care specialises in providing high-quality, personalised care for individuals with cerebral palsy. We understand that cerebral palsy is a complex condition with diverse symptoms and support needs.

Our experienced care team works closely with each client to develop a tailored care plan that addresses their unique challenges. We provide a range of services, including mobility assistance, personal care, and support with communication and social engagement, enabling individuals with cerebral palsy to live fulfilling lives in the comfort of their own homes.

Our approach

The needs of cerebral palsy clients vary greatly, so we can provide as much or as little support as required, ranging from personal care and mobility assistance to assistance with household tasks and socialising, to help maintain and maximise the client’s quality of life and independence.

Our priorities are to ensure that the client’s clinical needs are met while ensuring that any disruption caused by ventilator support is minimised as far as possible, so the client can enjoy maximum independence and quality of life.

Our Trained Staff

We select trained and qualified care staff experienced in working with cerebral palsy and who have the skills and experience to deliver the most complex cerebral palsy care. Our carers also receive extensive, client-specific training, enabling them to deliver proactive care designed to help them achieve maximum independence and quality of life.

For example, cerebral palsy can result in swallowing issues and if these create problems with eating and drinking, we can support nasogastric feeding and gastrostomy to ensure nutritional need are met.
